Instructions for Downloading the Book Code

Please read the full instructions printed in the book, Appendix B - Software Configuration Guide, before attempting to install and run the Book Code.

The Book Code is licensed under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL) - Version 2.

To install the code examples used in the book:

  1. Click here -> soabook-code-20070504.zip and save the ZIP file to a temporary directory.
  2. Extract the files to a directory of your choice. That is the directory referred to throughout the book as book-code.
  3. Make sure that you read and follow the instructions in Appendix B - Software Configuration Guide, so that you configure your environment correctly to run the code.
